From the Field 2.26.10

Hey friends!

I briefly heard from Deanna last night (their morning) while they were enjoying breakfast in Webuye :)

Garrett and Toby have gotten the Base Camp gate set and were going to finish up the fence posts before heading west to join the rest of the team.  The team currently in Webuye was hoping to head to Mount Elgon today, but were unsure if they would be able to because of heavy rains over the night.  The roads to Mount Elgon are dirt and clay, and become pretty much impassable to vehicles after the rains.  The plan was to head to three different locations on Mount Elgon and bless the people there with bags of seed.  Mount Elgon has experienced many clashes between tribes in the last several years, and many people are displaced, separated from family, and struggling to feed themselves and their family.  Pray that the Lord's hope and peace would invade that region!

Thank you for your prayers - know that they are effective!!  Continue to pray for safety and effective, powerful ministry times.  The time at Base Camp has been great, and the boys are getting so much done - pray that continues!  The rest of this weekend will consist of ministry in Webuye and at Miracle House Webuye.

Thanks for your prayers! Blessings, Arienne :)

This is the first time I truly feel like I know exactly what I'm contributing to for an organization.

Thank you for the updates
